Is Get ID Ready really free?
Yes. Get ID Ready is free to use for unlimited photos and all standard features. We do not require an account, an email, or any sign-up. We may offer optional paid features in the future for advanced exports such as 300 DPI lossless prints, but the basic flow will remain free.
Do my photos get uploaded to a server?
No. All photo processing — background removal, face centering, background replacement, and export — happens entirely in your browser using client-side AI. Your photos never leave your device. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads; the tool will continue to work.
Will my generated photo be accepted by the embassy?
We compile specifications from publicly available official sources and run an automatic compliance check that validates face size ratio, eye position, background color, and lighting. However, official requirements can change without notice and the final acceptance decision always belongs to the issuing authority. We always recommend verifying the latest requirements with the embassy or passport office before submitting.
Which countries and document types do you support?
We currently support over 100 countries and 270+ document types, including passports, visas, residence permits, ID cards, and driving licenses. If your document is not yet supported, let us know and we will prioritize adding it.
What is the difference between the free and Pro exports?
Free exports include a sample JPEG download with a SAMPLE watermark and a multi-photo PDF print layout. Pro exports (one-time payment via PayPal) include 300 DPI lossless PNG, A4 / 6 inch print sheets, and watermark-free downloads.
Can I use Get ID Ready on my phone?
Yes. Get ID Ready is a progressive web app that works on any modern phone or tablet browser. You can also install it to your home screen for offline access.
Why does the AI model take a moment the first time?
The background-removal model runs in your browser and is cached after the first use, so subsequent photos process almost instantly. The first load may take a few seconds to download the model — this happens once, entirely on your device.
Is it safe to take a photo of a child?
Yes. Because no photo ever leaves your device, processing a child's photo with Get ID Ready is as private as editing it on your own computer. For children under 6, most countries have relaxed requirements (closed eyes, neutral expression allowed) — always check the official guidance for the destination country.
What if my photo is rejected despite passing the compliance check?
A passing compliance check means your photo matches the technical specifications we know about. If it is still rejected, the issuing authority may be enforcing additional rules not yet reflected in our data, or applying subjective judgment (expression, posture). Please contact us with the rejection reason and we will investigate.
Can I use Get ID Ready for official government applications?
Get ID Ready is an independent online tool. We are not affiliated with any government agency, embassy, or passport office. The photos we generate are designed to meet publicly published specifications, but the final decision on acceptance is always made by the relevant authority.
